Applied straight from the pot, the paint spreads smoothly across the miniature. Its self-levelling formulation helps maintain an even surface as you work, making it possible to achieve consistent coverage without repeatedly building up thin layers. This is particularly useful when working with colours that can otherwise be more demanding to apply.

Each Tone Pro colour is organised into five graduated shades, starting with 1 as the darkest and progressing through to 5 as the lightest. Eye Of Terror 4 therefore sits close to the brightest point of the sequence, providing a useful intermediate step for developing definition and gradually increasing the intensity of light across a model.

The paint is also designed to do more than provide a straightforward colour layer. Thanks to the Tone Pro formulation, the same reference can be used for basecoating, shading, glazing, highlighting and drybrushing. Changing the application technique allows the paint to take on different roles throughout the painting process.

Eye Of Terror 4 can be used to establish brighter areas before moving to Shade 5, or used on its own when a strong but slightly less luminous finish is required. Combined with the other Eye Of Terror shades, it provides a natural part of the five-step Tone Pro system for building colour and contrast across a miniature.
