Hive Fleet Purple 3 (12ML)

What defines Tone Pro is its combination of intense colours and strong one-coat coverage. Even shades that are traditionally more difficult to apply can provide substantial coverage in a single layer. Used straight from the pot, Hive Fleet Purple 3 also benefits from self-levelling properties, helping the paint settle into an even, consistent finish across the miniature.

The Tone Pro system divides each colour into five easy-to-use shades, numbered from 1 as the darkest to 5 as the lightest. Shade 3 is therefore the central stage of the sequence. It can act as a transition between the deeper purple tones and the brighter Shades 4 and 5, or become the main colour of a scheme where a more balanced level of contrast is preferred.

• Basecoating large areas with an even layer of colour
• Shading recessed areas and strengthening definition
• Glazing for controlled colour transitions
• Highlighting raised areas and key details
• Drybrushing to pick out texture and sculpted surfaces

That range of applications makes Hive Fleet Purple 3 more than simply a middle point in the colour sequence. Combine it with Shades 1 and 2 to establish darker foundations, then work towards Shades 4 and 5 to increase brightness. The result is a flexible central tone that can adapt to several stages of the painting process without requiring a different paint for every technique.
