High-quality lacquer-based paint with a chemical formula and color accuracy superior to other brands on the market. It adheres perfectly to surfaces and dries to a soft, even finish. The paint holds all types of weathering and aging products firmly.
Flows smoothly through an airbrush and can be thinned with RC701/RC702 High Compatibility Thinner or other thinners designed for lacquer-based paints.
This shade is used as an upper surface color in the SEA (South-East Asia) camouflage scheme introduced by the USAF TAC shortly after the outbreak of the Vietnam War and used until the 1980s. It is also part of the Euro One scheme applied to most USAF TAC aircraft in the 1980s (and in the 1990s for A-10s), and features in the SEA-based camouflage scheme introduced by the FAP (Força Aérea Portuguesa) on A-7P, Fiat G.91, Alpha Jet, SA 330, Alouette II & III, AW101, etc.
The shade is also used by the FAA (Fuerza Aérea Argentina) during the Falklands conflict (Mirage IIIEA, IAI Dagger, C-130/KC-130), for painting US Army vehicles in the Tropics Verdant variant of the MERDC scheme, and it is a fair match to one of the colors available for disruptive camouflage on US Army vehicles during World War II.
