Historically, this shade was used as an alternative base color for British Army vehicles painted in the Caunter Scheme, applied in the Middle East and North Africa from July 1940 to October 1941. It served as a substitute tone when standard colors were unavailable, maintaining the effectiveness of the camouflage pattern.

From October 1941 to October 1942, it may have also been used as a replacement for Light Stone No.61, acting as the overall base color for vehicles operating in North Africa.

For optimal performance, thin with RC701/RC702 High Compatibility Thinner or another thinner suitable for lacquer-based paints.
