Easy to apply with an airbrush, it adheres perfectly to surfaces and dries to a smooth finish. It provides excellent durability and withstands all types of weathering products.
It can be thinned with RC701/RC702 High Compatibility Thinner or other thinners designed for lacquer-based paints.
One of the colors of the three-tone Hill Gray scheme was applied to USAF F-16s from the late 1970s to the early 1990s. This same camouflage pattern was also adopted by several NATO air forces, with Denmark and Norway being notable exceptions.
One of the shades in the two-tone variant of the Hill Gray scheme was used on USAF F-4C/D/E/G aircraft from the late 1970s until their retirement, as well as on USAF F-16s from the early 1990s onward.
This color is among those used for the upper surfaces in the Czech Air Force camouflage scheme from the 1990s to the present, applied to aircraft such as the Mi-2, Mi-8, Mi-17, Mi-171, Mi-24, W-3, AH-1Z, UH-1Y, L-410, C-295M, and L-159.
Also used on the upper surfaces of Polish Air Force MiG-29s since late 1997.
