Raf Sky / Fs 34424 17 Ml.

Easy to apply with an airbrush, it adheres perfectly to surfaces and dries to a smooth finish. It provides excellent durability and holds up well to weathering products.

It can be thinned with RC701/RC702 High Compatibility Thinner or other thinners designed for lacquer-based paints.

This color has been used in several camouflage schemes:

• Underside color of the "Temperate Land" scheme, applied to operational RAF aircraft from August 1940 to August 1941 for fighters and until the end of World War II for daytime bombers (excluding the Mosquito).
• Underside color of the later version of the "Temperate Sea" scheme, applied to Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm aircraft from around September 1940 until the end of World War II, as well as operational RAF Coastal Command aircraft (excluding Whitley, Wellington, and Liberator) from August 1941 to February 1943. This shade was later reintroduced in one of the specified schemes from March 1944 until the end of the war.
• Tail band color of the Day Fighter scheme, applied to RAF daytime fighters from August 1941 to 1947.
• Underside color of Royal Navy and Fleet Air Arm aircraft, from the end of World War II until the late 1950s.
• One of the upper surface colors of the Israeli Air Force (IAF) standard desert scheme, used from 1980 (with the delivery of the first F-16s) until the 2020s (F-16A/B/C/D/I, F-15I, and the last Kfir C2 and C7).
