Graugrün-Grey Green RAL 7008
High-quality lacquer-based paint with a chemical formula and color accuracy superior to other brands on the market.
It flows smoothly through an airbrush, adheres perfectly to surfaces, and dries to a soft finish. Its excellent durability allows for the use of all types of weathering products. This paint can be thinned with RC701/RC702 High Compatibility Thinner or other thinners designed for lacquer-based paints.
It was used to paint German Army vehicles and equipment in the first tropical scheme (Tropen 1), intended for use in Africa from March 1941 to March 1942. According to army regulations, RAL 7008 should cover one-third of a vehicle’s surface in irregular patches with soft edges, while the rest is painted in RAL 8000. Both photographic and documentary evidence confirm that tropical colors were also used on the Eastern Front. This includes 38 Tiger I tanks issued to the Grossdeutschland division, SS-LAH, SS-Das Reich, and SS-Totenkopf divisions between December 1942 and February 1943, painted in the same tropical scheme as those deployed in North Africa.
