Neodymium NdFeB magnets are the most powerful permanent magnets available today. The material of which they are made is produced by sintering. The various shapes are cut to the dimensions required by customers.
The designations N35 and N52 are a measure of the quality of the material used. The higher the grade (the number after the ‘N’), the stronger the magnet. This measurement provides two pieces of information:
1. The amount of magnetic energy stored per unit volume in the magnet.
2. The maximum temperature at which the magnet can be used.
Our magnets start with an N and their maximum operating temperature is 80°C (176°F). The magnets with the greatest force of attraction currently available are N52.
When it comes to force, for two magnets of different size and magnetisation, volume is generally more decisive than magnetisation. This is why a larger magnet is generally more powerful, even if its grade is lower.
Force of attraction: the values given are estimates based on in-house tests. These data are valid only for points along the central axis of the magnet, assuming the absence of other external forces.
If figurines are to be used, we recommend :
* 3x0.5 mm for small parts
* 3x1 mm for exchanging weapons, heads, arms, etc.
* 3x2 mm for plastic miniature bases
* 5x2 mm for metal miniature bases
