In Black Seas, Spanish Third Rates provide a strong balance between offensive capability and tactical flexibility. They often form the core of a battle line, capable of sustained broadsides while maintaining enough maneuverability to respond to shifting engagements. Their role is central to Spanish fleet doctrine, supporting aggressive firepower strategies while holding formation under pressure from enemy ships.

The included ships, Monarca, Argonauta, and San Justo, highlight the varied operational history of Spanish naval forces during the Napoleonic Wars. Monarca, a 74-gun Montañés-class ship, featured a powerful two-deck armament and was heavily engaged at Trafalgar, where she suffered severe damage before being captured, only for her crew to later attempt a dramatic escape. Argonauta, an 80-gun vessel and the last of her class, also fought at Trafalgar and was ultimately lost following the battle despite salvage attempts. San Justo, launched in 1779, saw extensive service including Cape St Vincent and Gibraltar, surviving Trafalgar and later being broken up in 1828.

This box contains three plastic ship hulls with additional metal components for customization, allowing players to faithfully recreate each vessel. The models are supplied unassembled and unpainted, offering hobbyists a detailed and flexible building experience in line with the Black Seas range standards.
