Dark secretions for unsettling effects

The gel can be stretched into strands, making it suitable for depicting dark saliva between a creature’s teeth, black mucus hanging from its claws or sticky secretions connecting different parts of a scene. Its black colour is particularly effective for alien fluids, corrupted organic matter and mysterious substances spreading through a setting. By varying the thickness and anchor points, you can create irregular, convincing effects ranging from fine strands to thick accumulations of black slime.

Precise application and adjustable consistency

Black Goo Effect can be used straight from the pot. Its original thick consistency helps you apply it with control without it easily running. To create a strand, pick up a small amount of gel with a toothpick, place it at the first anchor point and gently stretch it towards a second point. Teeth, jaws, claws and scenery details can all serve as anchor points. For a more fluid effect, gradually mix in a small amount of Slime Effects Thinner, available separately. Dilution changes the way the gel behaves and allows you to spread it in thinner layers rather than using it only for strands.

Once dry, the gel can be customised with other acrylic effects to suit your project. It is a useful addition to miniatures and dioramas featuring alien infestations, monstrous creatures or contaminated environments.
