Green Stuff World Violet Goo Effect is a purple gel from the Slime Effects range, designed to recreate snot, saliva and other sticky secretions on miniatures, dioramas and modelling projects. Its thick, stringy consistency makes it possible to create raised strands and textured deposits, adding an eerie, toxic or supernatural touch to creatures and scenery.
Create three-dimensional slime effects
Unlike a painted effect alone, this gel can form actual strands that stretch between surfaces and stand out from the model. Its purple colour is ideal for depicting alien saliva, mutant mucus, poisonous drool or magical residue. Use it on fantasy monsters, horror creatures, tentacled abominations and giant insects, or add strange secretions to carnivorous plants and scenery overrun by an unknown substance.
The gel can be applied straight from the pot and its thick consistency helps you work with precision. Depending on how much you use and how far you stretch it, you can create delicate strands of drool or thicker blobs of slime. Vary the thickness and anchor points for a more organic, uneven finish.
How to apply Violet Goo Effect
Pick up a small amount of gel with a toothpick and place it on the first point of your miniature. Carefully stretch the product towards a second anchor point to create a strand. Teeth, jaws, claws, tentacles and scenery details can all serve as attachment points. For example, connect a monster's upper and lower fangs to suggest purple saliva, or stretch several strands between its claws to represent sticky, toxic residue.
If you want a thinner consistency for spreading the product in finer layers, gradually add a small amount of Slime Effects Thinner, sold separately. Mix until you reach the desired texture, keeping in mind that thinning the gel changes how it behaves.
Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use and work in a well-ventilated area. Read the instructions and safety warnings on the product label before use.
