Hold The Line! - French Starter Army

The historical inspiration behind this force is particularly striking. During the Battle of Bir Hakeim in 1942, around 3,700 men held their ground against five Axis divisions for two weeks. This Starter Army draws on that formidable reputation, giving you a force centred on resilient infantry and supported by a strong selection of battlefield firepower.

A sizeable 42 infantry models form a large Rifle Platoon, while the Heavy Weapons Platoon adds numerous mortar teams and machine guns. The army is entirely infantry-based, but its firepower does not stop there: an Artillery Platoon equipped with two iconic French 75 light howitzers provides additional support.

The result is a force built around infantry that can hold defensive positions while remaining capable of moving aggressively towards the enemy. The models can be extensively built and customised, giving hobbyists considerable freedom when assembling their army, or they can be built as a straightforward force ready to take to the table.
