The brave men and women of the French Resistance were uncompromising patriots who defied the German occupation at great personal risk. From targeted assassinations and sabotage of infrastructure to spreading misinformation, their actions disrupted enemy operations and prevented countless German troops from reinforcing the frontlines, playing a vital role in the Allied war effort.
Armed with captured German weapons, Allied-supplied firearms, and locally sourced hunting rifles and shotguns, the Maquis used their intimate knowledge of the terrain to launch surprise attacks before vanishing into the countryside. Their unpredictability forced German units to remain on constant alert, uncertain of where or when the next strike might occur.
This set includes figures representing the French Forces of the Interior (FFI), but they are equally suitable for portraying partisans from Poland, the Soviet Union, or any other resistance movements under Nazi occupation. The kit contains 10 metal French Resistance miniatures, a plastic weapons sprue, and plastic bases. Models are supplied unassembled and unpainted.
