Moving further up the Tone Pro colour progression, Gnarlwood 4 provides one of the lighter shades within this colour family. Each Tone Pro colour is divided into five numbered tones, from 1 for the darkest shade to 5 for the lightest. Gnarlwood 4 therefore sits towards the brighter end of the sequence while retaining the character of the Gnarlwood colour family.

Product Details

Like the other Tone Pro paints, this shade combines intense colour with strong coverage. Even colours that can traditionally be more challenging to apply benefit from the formulation. Used straight from the pot, Gnarlwood 4 also features self-levelling properties that help produce an even application and consistent finish across the miniature.

The formula is designed to support a range of painting techniques rather than restricting the colour to a single purpose. Gnarlwood 4 can be used for basecoats, shading, highlights, glazing and drybrushing, allowing the same paint to take on different roles as you build up the miniature.

Used alongside the other Gnarlwood shades, it can help create a progressive value range within the same colour family. On its own, it remains a versatile paint that can be adapted to the technique and finish you are aiming for.
