Create three-dimensional blood effects

Unlike a simple coat of red paint, this gel can be stretched into strands between different anchor points. Use it to create bloody threads between a monster’s fangs, blood clinging to its claws, sticky trails on a weapon or thick deposits around a wound. Its wet, glossy appearance evokes fresh, heavy blood, making it an effective choice for intense battle scenes and gory dioramas.

Apply it to zombies, demons, fantasy creatures and miniatures caught in the middle of combat. Depending on the amount used, you can create fine strands, raised droplets, clots or thicker deposits around injuries. Vary the shapes and thicknesses to achieve an uneven, organic result that adds a sense of movement and texture to your models.

How to use Viscous Blood Effect

Pick up a small amount of gel with a toothpick or modelling tool. Place it at the starting point, then gently stretch it towards a second anchor point to form a strand. Teeth, claws, weapons, sculpted wounds and scenery details can all serve as attachment points. To create thicker deposits, apply more product and shape it into irregular raised areas around the desired spot.

You can also add small pools, suspended droplets or bloody trails connecting a miniature to the ground. If you need to change the consistency, gradually mix in a small amount of Slime Effects Thinner, sold separately. A thinner mixture can be easier to spread in fine layers, while the undiluted gel is better suited to strands and raised effects.

Combine it with other acrylic paints and effects to vary the colour and suggest darker or clotted blood. Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use and work in a well-ventilated area. Read the instructions and safety warnings on the product label before use.
