It can be thinned with RC701/RC702 High Compatibility Thinner or other thinners designed for lacquer-based paints.

The base color of the Mod Eagle camouflage scheme, applied to USAF and ANG F-15 fleets from 1992 to the present, as well as to the F-22.

Also one of the shades in the "Phantom" system introduced by the Hellenic Air Force (HAF) in the late 1980s, used on F-16C/D, F-4E, and F-5A/B aircraft.

Lastly, this color has also been used in certain USAF aggressor programs, notably on F-15C and F-16C.
