To use, thoroughly knead your sculpting material as directed by the manufacturer. Spread it evenly on your work surface—ideally with a smooth roller—to prepare for texture application. Then, roll the textured roller slowly with consistent pressure. Depending on the material (polymer clay, epoxy putty, etc.), it may help to lightly moisten the roller to prevent sticking. Once the pattern is applied, allow partial curing before trimming any excess.

This tool is compatible with a wide variety of sculpting compounds. Polymer clays like Fimo or Super Sculpey texture easily and can be baked directly on MDF bases (15 minutes at 150°C). Epoxy putties like Green Stuff may require moisture, talc, or sculpting vaseline to reduce stickiness. Milliput also performs well, especially when mixed 50/50 with children's modeling clay. After each use, clean the roller thoroughly with water and a suitable brush. Note: this tool should not be used by minors without adult supervision.
