Persian Armoured Spearman

The box contains 30 highly detailed plastic miniatures, including 24 armoured spearmen and 6 command models. Officers, standard bearers and musicians provide distinctive figures that can be placed throughout the formation to add variety to the ranks.

The kit includes a selection of head, arm and weapon options, together with spare components. These parts give you additional freedom when assembling the unit, allowing the individual warriors to vary in appearance while retaining the coherent equipment profile of Persian infantry.

The defining combination is the spear and spara. The large shield provides protection for the formation while giving the unit its characteristic Persian appearance. Combined with the warriors' armour, these elements create a visually distinctive body of infantry that stands apart from lighter Persian troops.

The unit can be used to represent Persian forces campaigning against the Greeks, Macedonians, ancient Indians and Scythians, as well as armies involved in the many civil wars of the Persian world. The set is also supported by LittleBigMenStudios shield and quiver transfers, offering another way to add detail and individuality to the finished miniatures.
