The box contains 48 Athenian armoured hoplites, with an impressive range of components designed to give your force a varied appearance. The sculpts feature sharp, clearly defined details, while the extensive selection of interchangeable parts makes it possible to avoid the repetitive look often associated with large infantry formations.

Head options provide an immediate way to introduce variety, with 9 different head variants, including 7 made from two separate components. A selection of crest options is also included, allowing particular models to stand out as officers within the unit. Weapon choices cover thrusting arms, spears held at rest and sword-wielding arms, giving you several distinct poses for your warriors.

The sprue layout adds another useful touch. Each sprue contains 8 figures, four supplied with shield arms and four without arms. This arrangement gives you greater freedom when assembling musicians, officers and other special positions rather than restricting every model to the same pose. A thrusting arm can also be rotated by 90 degrees to create another resting-spear position, expanding the available combinations without requiring additional components.

To further personalise the formation, the set includes cloaks and several sword scabbard options.
