Persian Armoured Archers

The box contains 30 miniatures, made up of 24 archers and 6 command figures. Officers, standard bearers and musicians are included among the command models, adding distinctive figures to the formation and helping break up the ranks of the main archer contingent.

A range of head, arm and weapon options gives you freedom when assembling the unit, while the set also includes Sparas and spare arrows. These components allow the archers to be presented in different configurations and add further visual interest to the finished formation.

One option is to place the archers behind a wall of Sparas, creating a protected firing position while maintaining the unit’s ranged role. Alternatively, they can be represented as skirmishers harassing the enemy from a less static position. The set therefore offers several ways to portray these armoured ranged troops within a Persian army.

The miniatures can represent Persian forces fighting against the Greeks, Macedonians, ancient Indians and Scythians, as well as armies involved in the many civil wars of the Persian world. The set is also supported by LittleBigMenStudios shield and quiver transfers, providing an additional option for adding detail and character to the finished models.
