Using the roller is straightforward, even for beginners. First, thoroughly knead your clay or putty according to the manufacturer's instructions. Spread the material over your surface, smoothing it with a plain roller to ensure an even base. Then slowly roll this textured tool across the surface, applying steady and even pressure for consistent results. Depending on the material, slightly wetting the roller can help prevent it from sticking. After texturing, trim excess material once it has started to set for a clean finish.

This roller is compatible with a wide range of modeling materials, including polymer clays (such as Fimo or Super Sculpey), epoxy putties (like Green Stuff or Milliput), and other sculpting compounds. Polymer clays can be textured directly on MDF bases and baked at 150°C for 15 minutes. Epoxy putties do not require baking and can be applied to plastic surfaces. For sticky materials like Green Stuff, use water, talcum powder, or modeling vaseline to reduce adhesion. Clean the roller thoroughly with warm water and a cleaning brush after each use. This tool is not a toy and should only be used by children under adult supervision.
