Greek Peltasts, Javelin Men and Slingers

The box contains 56 high-quality plastic miniatures. The combination of these three troop types creates a varied force, with lighter equipment and distinctive silhouettes that provide a clear contrast to the heavily armoured hoplites traditionally associated with Greek armies.

Peltasts form an agile element of the force, suited to the role of lightly equipped skirmishers. The javelinmen add another source of ranged attacks, representing warriors who can throw their weapons before closing with the enemy. Completing the group, the slingers provide a different form of ranged support and further increase the variety of the formation.

Together, these troops can represent the kind of harassment that takes place before opposing forces meet in close combat. Their ranged weapons give them the means to weaken enemy ranks before the main engagement, adding another layer to the composition of a Greek army beyond its armoured infantry.

With 56 miniatures included in the box, this set provides a substantial contingent of light troops. It is a useful way to introduce greater visual and battlefield variety to a Greek force while maintaining a distinctly ancient Greek character.
